Here at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center we are focusing on the increase of accessibility of our facility and trails.
We offer two FREE services to patrons who need assistance to access the trails.
Powered Track Chairs
Three track power chairs were purchased fall of 2021 to allow for patrons with mobility challenges to have the freedom of still traversing all of our 9 miles of trails on property.
- The track power chairs are easy to use and nature center staff will give you a tutorial before you set out.
- These chairs can be reserved for 2 hours.
- Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are preferred.

Golf Cart Tours
Private tours on our trail access vehicles (golf carts) can be scheduled with advance notice for patrons who need assistance to access the trails with their family or friends.
- Reservations need to be made minimum of 7 days in advance.
- Tours can be scheduled seven days a week during business hours, spring through fall.
- Carts can seat up to 12 participants.
- Availability is subject to trail conditions and volunteer drivers.
